What you'll do

  • Lead and manage multiple construction projects from inception through completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and clients to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including schedules, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
  • Monitor project progress and performance, implementing corrective actions as necessary to keep projects on track.
  • Conduct regular site visits to assess project status, quality of work, and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Facilitate effective communication among all project stakeholders, providing updates and addressing concerns promptly.
  • Prepare and present project reports to senior management, highlighting key milestones, challenges, and solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the construction industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects from start to finish.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships with clients and team members.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as Microsoft Project, Primavera, or similar applications.
  • Knowledge of relevant building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
  • Ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions under pressure.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience managing contracts and vendor relationships.

Nice to have

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
  • Experience with sustainable construction practices and green building certifications.
  • Familiarity with Lean Construction principles and methodologies.
  • Previous experience in a leadership role within a construction firm.
