Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Senior Accountant with the ambition to progress into a Client Manager role. This is an excellent opportunity for someone working in practice who wants greater responsibility, more client interaction and a clear progression path within a growing firm.

The Role
This role is designed to develop into a Client Manager position, where you will ultimately manage your own portfolio of clients. Initially, your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing statutory accounts for limited companies
- Preparing and reviewing VAT returns
- Producing management accounts
- Corporation tax and personal tax compliance
- Supporting clients with Xero and other cloud accounting software
- Client onboarding and cloud system set-up
- Communicating directly with clients and answering queries
- Supporting the senior team with advisory work
Over time, the role will develop into managing your own client portfolio and acting as a trusted adviser to business owners.
About You
We are looking for someone who is organised, proactive and enjoys working closely with clients. You should have:
- Minimum 3 years experience working in an accountancy practice
- Experience preparing accounts for limited companies
- Experience with VAT returns and management accounts
- Experience using cloud accounting software such as Xero
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ideally you will also be:
- ACCA / ACA qualified or studying
- Xero certified (preferred but not essential)
- Familiar with practice software such as IRIS
Most importantly, you will enjoy building relationships with clients and helping businesses succeed.
