We have an opportunity for a qualified Private Client Solicitor to join our Northampton office with the opportunity to work at our Milton Keynes office one day a week. Responsibilities include providing high-quality legal advice and services for private client matters such as Wills, Trusts, Estate Administration, Probate, Lasting Powers of Attorney (including Declaration of Trust) and Court of Protection Applications. The role involves drafting legal documents, managing complex cases, liaising with clients, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and professional standards. Collaboration with colleagues across departments and maintaining client relationships is a key aspect of this role.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Wills, Estate Planning, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Trusts, Estate Administration and related areas of Private Client Law
- Ideally 10 + years PQE. STEP Accreditation desirable
- Assist in the supervision and development of support staff.
- Assist in the marketing and development of the department.
- Manage own caseload, under supervision, and see clients in person, remotely and at their homes.
- Time recording all work undertaken.
- Reporting to, receiving and acting upon instruction from the Head of the Private Client department.
- Excellent communication, client relationship management and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload effectively.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high professional standards.
