About the DepartmentComplex Securities Legal provides expertise in derivatives, repos, MSFTA products and other complex securities, their related market infrastructure, documentation and regulation. We support trading and portfolio management as well as client facing teams, operations, risk and compliance. The team covers Franklin Templeton group globally and is headed in London.

How will you add valuePartner with business and other stakeholders in respect of complex securities to help grow our business safely and efficiently, including for example: investment group integration, derivatives on digital assets, tokenised collateral, prime brokerage and Sharia compliant financial products.

Manage and resolve issues arising in respect of Franklin Templeton's funds and other clients such as restructurings, client special requests and new products.

Manage and provide expert input on negotiations with top-tier dealers in respect of our wide array of client types globally.

Help manage our firm's responses to regulatory developments and changes in market infrastructure. Represent the firm in industry associations and build relationships with peers.

Manage internal and external resources and relationships with colleagues to deliver the team's vision and the firm's strategic priorities.

What will help you be successful in this roleCommercially minded, pragmatic and solutions-oriented approach, able to interact with business, operations and other stakeholders.

Qualified lawyer in England & Wales. New York qualification a significant plus.

At least 10 years post-qualification experience, including at a top-tier global law firm and an asset manager.

Technical expertise in derivatives: products (cleared and uncleared), documentation, negotiation and market structure. Expertise in one or more of the other products listed above.

Good understanding of the related UK and EU regulatory frameworks. US regulatory knowledge a strong plus.
