We're hiring a Business Development Manager to join a leading IT solutions and services provider, focused on driving new business growth across the Education sector through a broad portfolio of technology infrastructure, managed services, cloud, software and digital transformation solutions. This is a consultative sales role where you'll be responsible for developing new business opportunities across new and existing education customers, managing the full sales cycle from prospecting through to close.
Working alongside technical specialists, solution architects and vendor partners, you'll help education organisations solve complex technology challenges while delivering long-term commercial growth.
- Generate new business opportunities across schools, colleges, universities and other education organisations
- Build and maintain a healthy pipeline aligned to revenue and gross margin targets
- Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers across the Education sector
- Manage the full sales cycle from initial engagement through to contract negotiation and close
- Deliver tailored technology solutions across infrastructure, managed services, cloud, software and professional services
- Collaborate with internal solution specialists, technical consultants and vendor partners to develop customer solutions
- Create and execute strategic territory and account plans to maximise new business growth
- Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline management and CRM activity
- Consistently achieve and exceed new business sales targets
What we're looking for:
- Proven experience selling IT infrastructure, managed services or technology solutions into the Education sector
- Strong track record of generating and closing new business opportunities
- Experience selling enterprise technology solutions, including professional services, managed services, software or hardware
- Ability to manage complex consultative B2B sales cycles with multiple stakeholders
- Strong commercial awareness with excellent negotiation, presentation and relationship-building skills
- Experience developing and executing territory sales strategies
- Comfortable managing CRM systems, forecasting and pipeline reporting
- Self‑motivated, proactive and driven to consistently exceed sales targets
