Are you an experienced Programme Manager with a track record of delivering large-scale technology initiatives? We're partnering with an organisation undergoing significant digital and infrastructure transformation and are looking for a leader who can successfully manage complex programmes that deliver lasting business value.
This is a strategic leadership role where you'll work with senior stakeholders, technical teams and external partners to deliver enterprise-wide change across a broad technology landscape.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for leading the end-to-end delivery of complex programmes, ensuring multiple projects remain aligned to strategic business objectives while managing budgets, resources, governance and risk.
Working across technology and business functions, you’ll provide leadership throughout the programme lifecycle and ensure successful outcomes in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of large, business-critical technology programmes from initiation through to completion.
- Develop programme roadmaps, governance frameworks and delivery plans.
- Manage programme budgets, timelines, resources and reporting.
- Coordinate multiple workstreams while ensuring alignment with wider business objectives.
- Identify, manage and mitigate programme risks, dependencies and issues.
- Build strong relationships with executive stakeholders, technology teams and third-party suppliers.
- Drive effective governance, reporting and decision-making throughout programme delivery.
- Support organisational change by ensuring successful adoption of new technologies and processes.
- Mentor Project Managers and contribute to the continuous improvement of programme delivery standards.
- Ensure programmes are delivered in line with quality, compliance and regulatory requirements.
What We’re Looking For
- Significant experience leading complex enterprise technology programmes.
- Strong background delivering multi-million-pound transformation initiatives across multiple workstreams.
- Experience managing programmes covering infrastructure, cloud, networking, security, end-user computing and enterprise platforms.
- Exposure to technologies from leading vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, Arista, Fortinet and Palo Alto is highly desirable.
- Previous experience working within Financial Services or another highly regulated environment.
- Strong understanding of both Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
- Experience working with PMO functions and programme governance frameworks.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership and technical teams alike.
- Strong commercial awareness with experience managing budgets, suppliers and programme dependencies.
- Professional certifications such as MSP, PMP, PRINCE2 or Agile would be advantageous.
