The Role

We’re looking for a skilled 3rd Line Support Engineer to join a growing technical support team. The role is heavily focused on Cisco enterprise networking and would suit someone with strong experience across wireless networking, Cisco ISE, and Cisco DNA Centre/Catalyst Centre within software-defined networking environments. You’ll act as a senior escalation point for complex technical issues, supporting both internal teams and external customers across critical networking infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Handle escalated issues from 1st and 2nd line support teams, providing advanced troubleshooting and resolution.
  • Support and maintain Cisco enterprise networking environments, including wireless and ISE technologies.
  • Manage and troubleshoot Cisco DNA Centre/Catalyst Centre software-defined networking environments.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Respond to critical incidents and technical outages to minimise downtime.
  • Provide technical mentoring and guidance to junior engineers.
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation and knowledge articles.
  • Stay up to date with developments in Cisco networking and software-defined technologies.

Requirements

  • Ideally CCIE level certification or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Proven experience in a 3rd Line Support or senior networking support role.
  • Strong knowledge of Cisco enterprise networking technologies.
  • Extensive experience with wireless networking and Cisco ISE.
  • Experience supporting Cisco DNA Centre/Catalyst Centre environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Comfortable working within fast-paced technical environments.
  • Familiarity with ITIL and ITSM best practices.
  • Experience 3+ years in a similar senior support or infrastructure role.
  • Experience resolving complex enterprise networking issues.
  • Previous experience within Cisco-focused environments.
