Our client is looking for a SOC Analyst to join a growing SOC team, supporting a diverse client base and helping defend against evolving cyber threats. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in security monitoring, alert triage, and incident investigation who is looking to further develop their cyber security career within a collaborative and technology-driven environment. This is a 24/7 focused team operating on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, inclusive of 12 hour day and night shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor security queues and triage security alerts
- Investigate suspicious activity and determine incident severity
- Escalate and manage complex or high-risk security events
- Support incident response activities and post-incident reviews
- Improve detection accuracy through alert tuning and optimisation
- Utilise threat intelligence to strengthen security operations
- Act as a first point of contact for customer security enquiries
- Produce reports and support vulnerability management activities
- Collaborate with colleagues across the SOC and wider security teams
- Maintain awareness of emerging threats, attack techniques, and industry trends
What We're Looking For
- Experience working with security monitoring and detection tools
- Exposure to platforms such as CrowdStrike, Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender XDR, or similar technologies
- Previous experience within an IT, infrastructure, service desk, or cyber security role
- Experience investigating security incidents and triaging alerts
- Understanding of incident response processes
- Knowledge of threat intelligence and security operations best practices
- Strong communication and customer-facing skills
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical thinking
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment
- A proactive attitude and eagerness to learn
