Network Automation Consultant | £65,000 – £80,000 | Hybrid (monthly travel)

What You’ll Do

As an Automation Consultant, you’ll work closely with clients from initial engagement through to delivery, helping design and implement tailored automation solutions that transform how networks are built, managed, and secured.

• Leading discovery workshops and design sessions with customers
• Building and deploying automation workflows and APIs
• Integrating “single source of truth” solutions and managing networks as code
• Delivering CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and containerised services
• Collaborating with a skilled, supportive team across pre‑sales and delivery phases

What You’ll Bring

• Passion for DevOps and automation technologies
• Experience developing with Object‑Oriented Python
• Confidence leading customer workshops and presenting solutions
• Strong understanding of network and cloud security principles
• Experience building and integrating APIs (REST, GraphQL, NETCONF, gRPC)
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (GitHub/GitLab)
• Experience testing with pytest and working with Docker/Kubernetes
• Hands‑on experience with Ansible and/or Terraform
• Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Background in network engineering or related fields
• Solid understanding of IP networking, routing, firewalls, and protocols
• Exposure to tools such as Netbox, IP Fabric, Itential, or Apstra
