Are you a Microsoft Solution Architect who understands that the best solution starts with asking the right questions? We’re looking for a commercially minded Microsoft Solution Architect to join a growing solutions team, supporting customers across Modern Work, Azure, Security and AI.
This is not a hands-on engineering role, nor is it suited to someone looking to make their first move from technical delivery into pre-sales. You’ll already have experience working directly with customers, uncovering their challenges and translating them into commercially viable Microsoft solutions.
You’ll work across a varied UK customer base, primarily supporting medium-sized organisations within professional services, legal, logistics, accountancy and manufacturing. Projects are typically varied and fast-moving, giving you exposure to multiple customers and technologies rather than long, multi-year enterprise programmes.
- Running Microsoft tenant assessments and presenting customers with clear, commercially relevant findings.
- Identifying opportunities to improve productivity, strengthen security, reduce costs and make better use of their Microsoft investment.
- Supporting a sales team of approximately five people with discovery sessions, pre-sales engagements and proposal development.
- Designing high-level solutions across Microsoft 365, Modern Work, Azure and Security.
- Supporting conversations around Copilot, Copilot Studio, generative AI and wider AI enablement.
- Handing signed projects over clearly and effectively to the technical delivery team.
- Helping to develop and strengthen the organisation’s wider Microsoft proposition.
There is no requirement to produce low-level designs, carry out hands-on configuration or manage a team.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Modern Work, Azure and Security solutions.
Experience with technologies such as Microsoft 365, Intune, Defender and Entra.
An established background in pre-sales, solution architecture or a similarly commercial Microsoft role.
A technical foundation, followed by proven experience working directly with customers and supporting commercial opportunities.
Commercial awareness and the confidence to identify opportunities without adopting an overly sales-led approach.
The ability to work effectively without relying on large project teams or heavily structured processes.
An entrepreneurial mindset and an interest in helping build and improve a developing Microsoft practice.
You’ll join a stable, independently owned and debt-free technology business that has grown organically rather than through private equity investment or frequent acquisitions.
You’ll sit within a small solutions team alongside an experienced Solution Architect and work closely with the Commercial Director, sales, marketing and technical delivery teams.
This role would particularly suit someone who enjoys building and improving services rather than simply inheriting an established playbook.
The role follows a hybrid working model, with two days per week typically spent in the office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. You’ll also attend customer meetings across England when required, so flexibility to travel is important.
If you’re a Microsoft Solution Architect who combines technical credibility with curiosity, commercial awareness and strong listening skills, we’d be keen to speak with you.
