My client working within professional services is looking for a VDI Infrastructure Engineer to join them

Location: On site

Duration: 3 months + Extensions

Outside IR35 – £300/day

Our client, located in Maidenhead, Berkshire, is looking for a talented VDI Infrastructure Engineer to oversee and provide support of their VMWare VDI/Horizon 8 environment that has been implemented. This is a support based role, working part time of 4 days per week, but would then transition down to 2-3 days per week (the set days are still to be determined but will be between Monday to Friday) and would be an immediate start. Additionally, you must possess Developed Vetting (DV) clearance to be considered for this position and the necessary onboarding will need to be completed prior to a confirmed start date.

The Role:

Day to day management, monitoring and support of the VMWare Horizon VDI environment. It is also important to note that the client currently use Horizon 8 version.
Using MDT to Deploy/Update Windows 10/11 gold images with the relevant security updates and application installs
General Active Directory administration
Assisting with the updates and patching for Windows Server 2022, Windows 11, and VMWare ESXi and Horizon.

The Person:

Previous, demonstratable experience in a similar role of supporting VMWare Horizon/ESXI Infrastructure
DV cleared
Knowledge and proficiency of Active Directory, Windows 10/11, MDT and Windows Server and PowerShell for basic file Scripting.
Knowledge of Dell Wyse Management
