A leading UK cyber security specialist is seeking an experienced and driven Sales Support Manager / Internal Sales Manager to oversee and develop its internal sales function, helping to drive operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and revenue growth. The Role
The Internal Sales Team Lead will be responsible for leading and developing the internal sales team while supporting Account Managers and ensuring the smooth delivery of customer and partner engagements. Working closely with Sales, Customer Success, Professional Services, and Vendor Partners, you will play a key role in maintaining high service standards, improving operational efficiency, and supporting business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and support the Internal Sales team to achieve high performance
- Manage workloads, priorities, and day-to-day operational activities
- Support the onboarding and development of new team members

- Work closely with Account Managers to ensure accurate quotation creation and efficient order processing
- Oversee administrative and operational support across the sales function
- Monitor CRM accuracy and ensure compliance with internal sales processes
- Produce regular reports on team activity, pipeline support, and operational performance
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability
- Customer & Partner Engagement
- Support the successful delivery of customer solutions, ensuring value realisation and risk reduction
- Assist in maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction through proactive account support and service reviews
- Collaborate with Account Managers on account strategies and growth opportunities
- Support contract renewals and identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendor and partner communities
- Manage deal registrations, pricing requests, and business justifications with technology vendors
- Performance & Business Growth
- Ensure operational KPIs and revenue support targets are achieved
- Support seamless transitions from sales into customer success and service delivery teams
- Drive consistency and excellence across internal sales processes
Essential
- Minimum 4 years' experience within internal sales, sales support, or a customer-facing commercial role
- Previous experience mentoring, coaching, or leading team members
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Strong commercial awareness and customer-focused approach
- Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to collaborate effectively with sales, customer success, and technical teams
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
