We are seeking an experienced Network and Security Managed Services Engineer with a strong specialisation in Palo Alto Networks technologies to join a growing technical team. This role requires deep technical expertise across the Palo Alto ecosystem, with hands‑on experience designing, supporting, and troubleshooting solutions within complex customer environments. You will act as a subject matter expert and play a key role in delivering high‑quality managed services.

The Role

  • Provide 2nd and 3rd line support to clients, resolving complex network and security issues while delivering service requests across a range of technologies including WAN and Managed LAN Firewalls.
  • Work within a collaborative team, taking a proactive approach, demonstrating strong problem‑solving skills, and maintaining a high standard of technical delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Onboard new clients, including configuration of Palo Alto solutions, VPNs, and monitoring tools.
  • Ensure customer environments are fully operational, secure, and optimised.
  • Monitor infrastructure and proactively identify issues.
  • Manage incidents through to resolution with full ownership.
  • Implement configuration changes in line with change management processes.
  • Perform upgrades, patching, and security updates.
  • Provide 2nd and 3rd line support across managed services environments.
  • Manage and communicate effectively with customers throughout incidents.
  • Work within defined SLAs and KPIs.
  • Escalate and coordinate complex incidents with vendors when required.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ticketing updates.
  • Mentor junior engineers and share technical knowledge.
  • Contribute to continuous service improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Strong hands‑on experience with Palo Alto Networks technologies, including Next‑Generation Firewalls.
  • Proven experience supporting network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls).
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across network and security environments.
  • Experience with monitoring tools (e.g. SNMP, Zabbix or similar).
  • Experience working within ITIL‑based environments and SLAs.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Strong understanding of networking and security principles.

Certifications

  • Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE) or equivalent (current).
  • Additional Palo Alto certifications are desirable.
  • Palo Alto Prisma Access or SASE solutions.
  • Cloud‑delivered security and modern architectures.

Additional Information

  • Full‑time: Monday to Friday.
  • Flexibility required for major incidents.
