Principal Full-Stack Python Software Engineer

Hybrid – Central London

Up to £130,000

We are looking to recruit a confident leader to take on a Principal Full-Stack Python Software Engineer role within the organisation, to help shape their next‑generation, cutting‑edge AI tools, who will play a key role in defining architecture, product and engineering culture.

Requirements for the Principal Full-Stack Python Software Engineer role

• Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a fast‑paced start‑up environment
• 4+ years software development with a product-focused, details‑orientated mindset
• Production software experience across Python, SQL, Typescript, React and Next.JS
• CI/CD experience and solid testing practices
• Preferably experience with data-heavy or high‑throughput systems
• Ideally exposure to applied AI or LLM integrations, though model training isn’t required
• Experience of GCP for IAM / networking / security

As the Principal Full‑Stack Python Software Engineer, you will lead a small, bright and engaged team by example, building in Python, SQL and Next.JS, and design APIs, data pipelines and user interface with a focus on optimisation for quality, performance and sustainability. Shape architectural decisions around schemas, modularisation and system patterns and evolve culture whilst working very closely with the founders, who have roots in data science and operational delivery, influencing both the product and how it’s built.
