Our client is a fast-growing FinTech SaaS provider serving the SME finance ecosystem. With rapid growth and increasing engagement with regulated financial institutions, they are seeking a senior leader to head their DevSecOps function.
The Role
We are looking for a Head of DevSecOps to lead a small team while remaining hands-on. Reporting to the CTO, you will shape and deliver the organisation's security strategy, embed best practices across engineering, and act as a key point of contact for regulated financial clients. This is a "player-coach" role, balancing delivery with leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the DevSecOps function, embedding security into development and operations.
- Champion security strategy, policies, and controls across the organisation.
- Mentor and grow a team of DevSecOps engineers.
- Oversee infrastructure automation, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud security.
- Engage with regulated financial institutions on cybersecurity and data management.
- Drive incident response readiness and continuous improvement of security controls.
Qualifications
- Proven experience leading technical teams in SaaS environments.
- Strong knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, infrastructure automation, and cloud (AWS).
- Deep understanding of cybersecurity principles and governance.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging stakeholders and regulated clients.
- Experience with regulated industries (Tier 1 banks desirable).
- Relevant degree and certifications (e.g. CISSP, CISM, AWS Security) are a plus.
