📍 Remote, UK-wide
We\’re supporting a global leader in industrial automation as they look to hire an experienced Application Engineer to support their growing customer base across the UK. This is a national, remote-based role with a focus on the life sciences sector—so we\’re looking for someone who really knows their way around automation in that world.
You’ll be the UK go-to expert for technical support, working closely with the sales team and customers to design, adapt, and implement automation solutions across a wide range of technologies: robotics, drives, motion control, sensors, and software. If you’re someone who loves solving problems and enjoys getting stuck into real-world applications, this could be a great fit.
What you’ll be doing:
- Partnering with the sales team to support customers and shape automation solutions
- Running demos, supporting feasibility studies, and advising on best-fit technologies
- Designing and developing automation systems tailored to customer needs
- Providing on-site support, training, and troubleshooting when required
- Acting as the main technical point of contact for UK life sciences clients
- Staying up to date on the latest industry tech and developments
What we’re looking for:
- Solid automation engineering experience—ideally 3+ years
- Strong background in the life sciences or pharma sectors
- Confident with PLC programming and automation systems
- Great communication skills and a customer-focused mindset
- Based in the UK with the right to work—unfortunately, we can’t sponsor
- Happy to travel nationally as needed
- Self-motivated and comfortable working remotely
