UK Sales Manager – Robotic Systems (Midlands or North preferred)
£65K - £75K base + commission (circa £20k at target) + car + strong benefits

Individual contributor within a matrix environment. Frankland Automation is recruiting on behalf of a top global manufacturer of industrial robotics. This is a systems-focused sales role within a well-established UK operation that combines a healthy mix of account management and business development. You will be working for one of the global leaders in robotics and automation, covering multiple sectors, including aerospace, automotive, FMCG, and others.
The Role:
- Sell robotic systems and end-to-end automation solutions
- Manage a pipeline of long-cycle capital equipment opportunities
- Balance reactive account activity with proactive new business development
- Work closely with internal technical and project teams to deliver proposals
- Take ownership of system sales opportunities in the UK
This is not a pure product sales position. The focus is on system-level opportunities where sales process discipline and commercial drive are critical. Experience in system-selling is essential.
What They’re Looking For:
- Background in robotics, automation systems, or adjacent engineered solution sales
- Able to manage multiple (30+) live opportunities simultaneously
- Strong commercial instinct and willingness to proactively develop business
- Technically capable enough to hold credible conversations on robotics and automation implementation
The business does not require someone to be the most technical person in the room, but they must be confident in engaging customers and driving opportunities forward. You will be supported by a large technical team spread across the UK.
Package:
- £65K - £75K base salary
- Commission structure with average performance generating ~£20k annually
