I am hiring for a Senior Automation Engineer to join an established international automation business. This role is based in South Wales (Newport/Cardiff).

4-5 days per week on customer sites in the Newport/South Wales area.

The role
You’ll help lead automation projects through design, software development, testing and commissioning, working closely with customers and fellow engineers.
Your work will span PLC, DCS, BMS, EPMS, and SCADA systems, with opportunities to get involved in MES and historian platforms.
I’d like to speak with engineers who bring:
- 3+ years’ experience in industrial automation
- Hands‑on PLC/DCS programming and SCADA experience
- Strong problem‑solving and customer communication skills
- A willingness to travel and deliver projects across the EU
You’ll need a full UK driving licence and eligibility to work in the UK without sponsorship.
