We are seeking a Radar System Engineer to solve radar-related challenges across our missile development portfolio at both system and subsystem levels. You will translate weapon system requirements into radar specifications and develop and validate solutions that enable autonomous flight, precision targeting, and reliable detection. Key Responsibilities

  • System Development & Delivery: Lead concept definition, design, analysis, testing, qualification, and contract execution for advanced radar systems in missile applications.
  • Supplier & Subcontractor Management: Manage technical subcontractors and suppliers, define scopes of work, review deliverables, and ensure alignment with schedule, cost, and quality targets.
  • Requirements Engineering: Develop and maintain technical requirement specifications, translating mission needs into measurable performance, safety, and reliability criteria.
  • Integration & Interfaces: Collaborate with performance, systems, and integration engineers to optimise interfaces, resolve trade-offs, and produce comprehensive interface control documents (ICDs).
  • Verification, Testing & Documentation: Drive development of technical documentation, lead design reviews, and coordinate test plans, risk assessments, failure mode analyses, and certification activities with suppliers.

We Would Love You to Have

  • Educational Background: Degree in Electrical Engineering, Radar Systems, Communications, Applied Physics, or a related field. Specialisation in radar technology or signal processing is an advantage.
  • Experience: Relevant experience in radar or RF, ideally within defence, aerospace, or similarly demanding environments; expertise in managing subcontractors and coordinating the project lifecycle from concept to delivery.
  • Technical Expertise: Solid understanding of radar principles, signal processing, and electronic circuit design, with experience in developing complex systems.
  • Soft Skills: Proactive and solution-oriented, with strong communication and collaboration skills. Delivery focused, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.
