About the job
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented IT Support Specialist to join our dynamic IT team. This hands-on position requires a team player who can work closely with every department on daily operations. You’ll be a member of our team in St Albans.
Your tasks:
- 1st and 2nd level support within region standard Applications (M365, Adobe, FMS und IFS)
- Joiner / Mover / Leaver handling with ServiceNow
- Software provisioning (SCCM)
- Client hardware (desktop, laptop, tablet, barcode scanner) & peripherals (printer, scanner, copier, fax)
- Installation, maintenance & provisioning VoIP
- Network support (LAN) and monitoring of WAN and servers
- Mobile devices and contracts
- Introduction & training
- Licence Management
- Team member of projects
- Local contact for Platform Services
- Quotes and order process of hardware
Requirements:
- Relevant educational qualifications
- Additional trainings for Microsoft (MCP level) and Cisco (CCNA Discovery)
- 3 years work experience in the IT Service Desk area
- ICT service operations
- Basic ITIL knowledge
- Broad technical skills hardware, OS & software (Microsoft, mobile devices)
- Basic technical skills Server OS, network, storage (SAN, NAS)
- Basic application architecture know-how
- Good analytical and conceptual abilities
- Independent, but with team skills for dealing with IS specialists and key users
- Open and communicative, likes dealing with people (telephone & teams support)
- Flexibility and willingness to travel to Manchester once or twice a month
