About the job

The Area Sales Manager will drive growth of the Franke brands in the UK. Acting as the primary contact with kitchen studio customers in the territory, they will promote the company and its products in order to meet the sales, margin and brand objectives of the business. This is a Field-Based Role.

Your tasks:

  • Plan, forecast and manage the business and relationships at all levels within the geographical territory, as defined and agreed.
  • Act as the primary contact for display placement and sales growth within kitchen studios. Communicate new product and commercial developments (e.g. promotions, campaigns), provide product training and act as the focal point for customer feedback.
  • Identify, develop and drive new business with existing accounts and new accounts in conjunction with partners and sales colleagues.
  • Ensure that the sales & margin targets for the territory are achieved in relation to volume and price. Manage returns and credits and major queries in the territory.
  • Make sure that all relevant information is managed within the CRM system and accurate reports are completed regularly as required.
  • Provide forecast insight to supply chain team on regular basis to ensure stock availability and broader business understanding of the financial drivers in the accounts/channel.
  • Keep consistency of service and manage expectations of external and internal customers in time pressured environment.
  • Ability to execute fast accurate and professional results handling multiple tasks and assignments.
  • Identify and resolve or escalate pressing issues to enable smooth business function, working across different functions and geographies.

  • Net sales and margin
  • Sales growth by defined product group
  • Gross sales increase in the category
  • Customer visit frequency

Requirements

Education & Qualifications:

  • Degree level education or similar in an appropriate discipline is considered an advantage for this role.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 2 years sales experience, ideally gained in a distributor or ‘independent’ arena.

Other Skills:

  • Strong analytical, numerical and communication skills to effectively navigate the dynamic sales landscape.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office for efficient data management and communication.
  • Fluent English (both written and spoken) is a pre-requisite.

Availability:

Availability for regular travel inside the territory (N London) is required and occasional national travel to meet business needs.
