About The Job

We are looking for a Service Engineer based in Birmingham. The role involves technical support for our customers and resolution of ongoing issues when required. You will deliver quality, reliable service, ensuring reliability issues are dealt with in a timely manner. Any van‑stock or training needs will be reported to the Regional Service Manager.

Your Tasks

  • Ensure agreed Franke UK Technical Standards and Processes are adhered to
  • Participate in an on‑call weekend rota for Engineer Technical Assistance and reactive calls (once every four weekends)
  • Identify technical skills gaps
  • Identify customer skills gaps
  • Manage stock levels
  • Manage customer relations at a site level
  • Keep up to date with all company admin and courses
  • Highlight issues where Account Support is required due to ongoing Customer Issues

Requirements

  • Understand and have experience in the remit of the Field Engineer role
  • Minimum 2 years experience in the coffee machine or vending industry
  • Competent using phones and laptop
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Personal integrity
  • Analytical and prioritising abilities
  • Understand when to inform and when to escalate issues
  • Any other ad‑hoc duties and responsibilities that arise on a day‑to‑day basis or over a period of time within the remit of the role
