Hours of Work
6 month contract from May to October (would consider a shorter contract of 5 months).
Monday to Friday 42.5 hours, 06:30 am to 4:00 pm (1 hour unpaid break), 10 Saturdays, 7:00 am to 12:00 pm.
Summary
We are seeking a skilled HGV Driver to join our team at Frank Key Group. Generally based out of our Daybrook Branch, you will be asked to work out of other branches from time to time. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering a wide range of building materials to our customers across Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and occasionally Yorkshire. Your contributions will be vital in ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining our reputation for excellent service.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate HGV and Cranes to deliver building materials to various locations.
- Ensure timely delivery while adhering to all traffic regulations and safety protocols.
- Load and unload materials as required, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and communicate effectively with the other teams.
- Inspect vehicles regularly for safety compliance and report any issues promptly.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries by being courteous and professional.
Requirements
- A valid Class 2 Driving Licence with CPC is required.
- Valid HIAB Certification with Brick Grab and experience are essential.
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving roles.
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to lift heavy loads and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading materials.
- Excellent time management skills with a focus on punctuality.
