Frank Bird (Poultry) Ltd is seeking an experienced, compliance-focused Transport Manager to oversee and maintain full compliance with our Operator Licence undertakings and all relevant road transport legislation. This is a key role within the business, reporting directly to senior management and acting as the nominated Transport Manager on our Operator Licence.
Key Responsibilities
- Exercising continuous and effective control of transport operations in line with Operator Licence requirements
- Ensuring full compliance with:
- Drivers hours and tachograph regulations
- Vehicle maintenance and safety inspection regimes
- Operator Licence undertakings and Traffic Commissioner expectations
- Defect reporting procedures
- Preventive maintenance schedules
- MOT preparation and compliance records
- DVSA and Traffic Commissioners Office
- Maintenance providers and external auditors
About You
- CPC-qualified Transport Manager (National or International) essential
- Demonstrable experience acting as a nominated Transport Manager
- Strong working knowledge of:
- Operator Licence compliance
- DVSA enforcement processes
- Traffic Commissioner guidance
Desirable
- Experience managing HGV operations
- Familiarity with transport compliance software systems
