We are seeking a professional and reliable Class 1 HGV Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of Live Poultry across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining high standards of safety and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Operate a Class 1 HGV lorry, in compliance with all road safety laws and company policies.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and roadworthiness.
- Safely load and unload goods, ensuring proper securing of cargo.
- Plan routes effectively to meet delivery schedules and optimise fuel efficiency.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving.
- Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices for HGV operation.
- Excellent driving skills with a clean driving licence (Class 1).
- Ability to handle physically demanding tasks such as loading, unloading, and cargo securing.
- Good organisational skills to manage schedules efficiently.
- Effective communication skills to liaise with clients and team members professionally.
- Mounty FLT experience preferred but not essential as training will be provided.
You must be prepared to be flexible with start & finish times in line with company requirements, working Monday to Friday. Local work with an excellent pay rate.
