Purpose of the role
The Social Media Manager owns our social media presence across all channels and markets – from strategy and content creation to performance reporting. This is a hands‑on role: the successful candidate will personally produce video, copy, and Canva assets, bringing strong storytelling, creative execution, and organisational discipline to manage a busy multi‑channel content calendar across teams.

What you'll be doing

  • Social Strategy & Planning
    • Define and own the social media strategy, aligning activity with business goals, marketing, and other stakeholders.
    • Build and maintain the content calendar as a strategic planning/execution tool – structured, forward‑looking, and responsive to campaign priorities, product moments, and cultural opportunity.
    • Use Wrike to organise workflow, manage deadlines, and coordinate dependencies across teams.
    • Monitor trends, platform algorithm changes, and emerging formats, incorporating findings into planning on an ongoing basis.
  • Content Creation
    • Produce original, engaging social content across copy, graphics, and video – personally delivering finished assets to a high standard.
    • Write clear, engaging, on‑brand copy across all channels, adapting tone and format to audience and platform.
    • Design social assets in Canva, maintaining and evolving the nShift brand kit and template library to ensure visual consistency at scale.
    • Script, film, and edit video content for social channels, including event coverage.
  • Channel & Community Management
    • Manage all social channels (LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook) and ratings and reviews platforms (Trust Pilot, G2, GMB) using a dedicated social media management platform.
    • Schedule and publish content, monitor engagement, and manage community interactions in a tone consistent with the nShift brand voice.
    • Respond to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely and considered way, fostering genuine audience connection.
  • Performance & Reporting
    • Develop and maintain a KPI framework that connects social activity to measurable business outcomes.
    • Set up, maintain and report on social listening dashboards.
    • Monitor performance across channels and produce regular reporting for senior stakeholders, presenting data as clear, actionable narrative.
  • Employee Advocacy and internal comms
    • Communicate with and coach colleagues on social best practices and support them in developing a credible professional presence on behalf of the brand, as well as empowering them to become advocates.
  • Cross‑functional Collaboration
    • Work closely with performance marketing, regional, sales, partnership, and people teams to align social activity with wider business programmes.
    • Represent the Marketing team at events, contributing to live content capture and coverage where required.

About you
You are a creative self‑starter who takes full ownership of your work – from strategy to execution. You thrive in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment and have a natural eye for what makes content stop the scroll, combined with the organisational discipline to deliver consistently at scale.

What you will bring

  • Essential
    • 5+ years of social media management experience, proven end‑to‑end ownership across strategy, planning, content creation, and reporting.
    • Excellent storytelling, copywriting, and AI prompting skills – able to write compelling, on‑brand copy across formats and platforms without reliance on templates or third‑party support.
    • Hands‑on Canva proficiency at the brand governance level: building, managing, and evolving templates.
    • Ability to script, shoot, and edit video content independently.
    • Strong organisational skills, with a structured approach to managing a busy, multi‑channel content calendar and cross‑functional workload. Experience with Wrike or a comparable project management tool is a plus.
    • Experience with a social media management and listening platform (Sprinklr, Hootsuite, Sprout, or equivalent) – hands‑on scheduling, monitoring, and reporting capability is essential; implementation experience is an advantage.
    • Strong brand instincts and governance experience, with the confidence to challenge activity that falls outside brand guidelines.
    • Able to present performance data and strategic recommendations clearly to senior stakeholders.
    • Active user of AI tools as part of day‑to‑day workflow.
    • A portfolio demonstrating original content, brand work, and creative output across social channels.
    • Willingness to travel to European events and team off‑sites.
  • Desirable
    • Direct experience with Sprinklr, including involvement in platform setup or advanced configuration.
    • Hands‑on experience with Wrike for marketing project and workflow management.
    • Multi‑market or multi‑region social management experience.
    • Agency/busy studio background, bringing breadth of experience and comfort operating without extensive in‑house resources.
