ROLE OVERVIEW:

We are looking to recruit an insolvency solicitor to join our insolvency team which deals with contentious and non-contentious insolvency matters. Our insolvency team represents a vast number of insolvency practitioners (based in London and Nationally), litigation funders and respondents facing claims arising from an insolvency process.

We envisage recruiting someone at Associate to Senior Associate level, with at least 3 years PQE, who has experience of managing non-contentious insolvency matters.

The Role – Senior Associate to salaried partner:

  • Handling all aspects of corporate insolvency including administration appointments (both in court and out of court appointments), all court applications under insolvency legislation, providing advice to IPs, secured lenders and directors.
  • Preparing business and asset sale and purchase agreements out of Administration.
  • Dealing with all aspects of property related transactions in insolvency.
  • Dealing with insolvency related litigation (in conjunction with our contentious insolvency team if required).
  • Engage in marketing, building a client base and maintaining relationships with clients and referrers.
  • Assisting the Team Leader to supervise a team and manage junior Solicitors to ensure good client service delivery and compliance with regulatory and firm policies and procedures.
  • Assisting the team leader with the financial management of the team (Senior Associate level).
  • Contributing towards marketing content for the firm's website and other social media channels.

IDEAL CANDIDATES SHOULD ALSO HAVE:

  • Excellent commercial and drafting skills, with proven experience in non-contentious insolvency and/or commercial fields.
  • Technically astute and well versed in the provisions of the Insolvency Act and Insolvency Rules.
  • Good commercial judgment in terms of file and client management and achieving KPIs.
  • Able to work in a busy team and support and develop other junior fee earners as required.
  • Technologically competent and have experience of CRM and case management systems.
  • Excellent organisation, management and development skills.
  • Energetic and enthusiastic with the subject matter and keen to learn and expand their knowledge of these areas, as well as becoming involved in promoting the firm nationally.
