ROLE OVERVIEW
This highly regarded and established law firm in London is looking to appoint a Legal Support Assistant to support the firm in all daily legal administrative tasks.
SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE
The successful candidate will have minimum 2 years’ experience, be computer literate, confident with a ‘can do’ attitude. They must be happy to get involved to support the teams and pick up any administrative tasks when the need arises.
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- File Management including setting up new files and ensuring AML checks (using Legl) are completed, closing files, and archiving matters and sending the files to storage
- Saving and updating documents to the case management system, Visualfiles
- Producing correspondence
- Answering the front door on occasions, greeting clients, dealing with couriers etc
- Arranging refreshments for meetings and preparing the boardroom
- CE-filing documents on the Court system
- Photocopying, paginating, scanning and printing
- Preparing bundles using Bundledocs as per fee earner instructions
- Ordering office supplies when required
- Post
- Expenses for fee earners
- General ad-hoc duties
PERSON SPECIFICATION
- Able to work in a team and as an individual
- A spirit of co-operation and a positive, proactive ‘can do’ attitude
- Good written and verbal English communication skills and the ability to relate to people at all levels
- Professional telephone manner and the ability to take messages efficiently
- Excellent organisational skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to use initiative and prioritise work
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain deadlines
- Flexibility to work outside normal office hours may be required from time to time
