Working Pattern: Full-time, 4 year fixed term position on Crick terms and conditions of employment.
About the Laboratory: The Dr Vinuesa’s laboratory focuses on understanding protective antibody responses and mechanisms underpinning antibody‑mediated diseases, targeting autoimmune and allergic diseases.
Project: The role studies triggers of TLR7 signalling in autoimmunity using a mouse model with a rare TLR7 gain‑of‑function variant.
Responsibilities:
- Undertake own research project and independently design and perform experiments on triggers of TLR7 signalling.
- Manage mouse colony and conduct in‑vivo experiments.
- Conduct single‑cell BCR‑seq and clonal analysis via bioinformatic pipelines.
- Provide scientific and technical support to group members.
- Manage data, analyse, write manuscripts.
- Present at scientific meetings.
- Guide PhDs in research.
Qualifications:
- PhD in Immunology or final stages of PhD submission.
- Experience in mouse models of immunology (vaccination, allergy, autoimmunity).
- Experience with mouse husbandry, sampling, and processing.
- Expertise in B cell biology including germinal centre responses, plasma cell biology, class switch recombination, somatic hypermutation.
- Experience in BCR sequencing and clonal analysis.
- Experience in mucosal immunology and mucosal B cell responses.
- Strong track record of high‑quality research with first author publications in peer‑reviewed journals.
