In a nutshell

As a Senior Financial Planner, you'll provide high-quality, compliant financial advice to a diverse portfolio of clients, helping them achieve their long-term financial goals.

You'll combine technical expertise with strong relationship-building skills, identifying new opportunities, winning new business, and contributing to the growth and success of the wider regional team.

Alongside managing your own client portfolio, you'll support colleagues, mentor junior team members, and help drive continuous improvement across our financial planning business.

This role supports both our Salisbury and Poole offices.

The successful candidate will be contracted to their nearest Francis Clark Financial Planning office and will typically spend around two days per week in both Salisbury and Poole.

Travel to the non-contractual office will be reimbursed in accordance with our expenses policy.

  • What you'll be doing day to day
  • Managing and developing a portfolio of high-value and complex clients
  • Delivering tailored financial planning advice across areas such as: retirement planning, investment planning, tax-efficient wealth management, estate and succession planning
  • Building lasting client relationships and acting as a trusted adviser
  • Achieving revenue, new business, and assets under advice (AUA) growth targets
  • Developing new business through networking, referrals, professional connections, and business development activities
  • Working closely with Paraplanners and Client Executives to deliver an outstanding client experience
  • Supporting the Regional Leader in driving team performance and strategic growth
  • Mentoring and supporting junior Financial Planners and contributing to their development
  • Identifying opportunities to improve processes, embrace technology, and enhance operational efficiency
  • Maintaining the highest standards of regulatory compliance and professional conduct

About you

We're looking for an experienced Financial Planner who combines excellent technical expertise with commercial awareness and a genuine passion for helping clients achieve their goals.

You'll ideally have

  • Level 6 Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning (or equivalent) or higher
  • Proven experience delivering regulated financial advice to complex and high-net-worth clients
  • Strong knowledge of FCA regulations and compliance requirements
  • A successful track record of winning new business and growing client relationships
  • Experience developing solutions across tax, retirement, investment, and estate planning
  • Strong networking and business development capabilities
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • A collaborative, client-focused approach
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Experience using financial planning software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office applications
