Hours: 20 hours per week (term time only)
Working hours: 1:00pm to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday
Contract Type: Fixed Term until 31/08/2027
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about inspiring children to enjoy sport, physical activity and healthy lifestyles. The successful candidate will work with pupils across the primary age range, delivering high-quality PE lessons and sports provision that supports the National Curriculum, develops fundamental movement skills, and promotes lifelong participation in physical activity.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and inclusive PE lessons across the school in line with the National Curriculum.
- Support the development of high-quality physical education and school sport.
- Plan and deliver a range of sporting activities for pupils of all abilities.
- Prepare for and accompany pupils to sporting fixtures, festivals and competitions.
- Encourage participation, confidence, teamwork and positive sporting behaviour.
- Support the school's commitment to healthy, active lifestyles.
- Contribute positively to the wider life of the school.
The Successful Candidate Will:
- Have experience of coaching sport and/or delivering PE to children
- Have a good understanding of primary PE and the National Curriculum
- Be able to motivate and inspire pupils of all abilities
- Have excellent communication and organisational skills
- Be enthusiastic, reliable and able to work as part of a team
- Hold a full UK driving licence and is willing to attend sporting events and competitions as required
- Understand the importance of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
