Location: Staveley, Chesterfield
Salary: £26,000 – £30,000 per annum, dependent on experience
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm. One to two Saturdays per month, 8:30am to 2:00pm (paid at time and a half)
This is a customer-facing role requiring a professional, well-presented individual with strong communication and sales skills. The successful candidate will be confident engaging with both trade and public customers, providing product advice, processing orders, and contributing to a positive in-store experience.
Key Responsibilities:- Serve as the first point of contact for walk-in customers, providing product guidance and support
- Process orders and payments accurately using the till system
- Handle telephone and email enquiries in a professional manner
- Recommend additional products to increase sales where appropriate
- Liaise with suppliers to obtain product details, pricing, and availability
- Maintain relationships with key account customers
- Assist with stock management, documentation, and occasional trade events
- Previous experience in customer service and sales
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional appearance and confident manner
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Interest in campervans or motorhomes is advantageous but not essential
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
