Francesca's Recruitment Ltd is recruiting for an experienced HR Manager on behalf of a well-established and growing business based in Goldthorpe, Barnsley. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and proactive HR professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and wants to play a key role in shaping the people strategy of a successful organisation.
Reporting directly to senior leadership, you will lead the HR function, providing both strategic and operational support across the business while ensuring compliance with UK employment legislation and HR best practice. This is a fully office-based role, offering the opportunity to work closely with managers and employees to drive engagement, performance and business success.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the HR function across the business.
- Manage the full recruitment and onboarding process.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on employee relations matters, including disciplinaries, grievances and absence management.
- Develop, review and implement HR policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with UK employment legislation and HR best practice.
- Manage performance management processes and support managers with employee development.
- Design and coordinate training and development initiatives.
- Oversee payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Produce HR reports and analyse workforce data to support business decisions.
- Support employee engagement, wellbeing and retention initiatives.
- Work closely with senior management to support organisational objectives.
- Promote a positive working culture and continuous improvement.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Previous experience in an HR Manager or Senior HR Advisor role.
- CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent).
- Excellent knowledge of UK employment law.
- Experience handling complex employee relations cases.
- Payroll experience (Sage Payroll experience would be advantageous).
- Experience within a manufacturing, logistics or SME environment would be beneficial.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- A proactive, hands-on approach with the confidence to work independently.
- High levels of integrity, discretion and professionalism.
