Francesca’s Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join a respected and growing engineering consultancy based in Chesterfield. This role is ideal for a technically strong engineer who enjoys working across multiple residential projects and contributing to high‑quality, efficient structural design.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead structural design work across residential developments
- Produce safe, compliant and cost‑effective engineering solutions
- Review drawings, calculations and technical documentation
- Collaborate with Clients, Developers and internal teams
- Support and mentor junior engineers
- Manage workloads effectively to meet project deadlines
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ structural engineering experience within the UK
- Strong background in the residential sector
- Master’s degree in Structural Engineering (chartered or working toward chartership with ICE/IStructE)
- Excellent knowledge of Eurocodes, British Standards and Building Regulations
- Proven experience designing in reinforced concrete, steel, timber and masonry
- Understanding of geotechnical principles and foundation design
- Competent in AutoCAD 2D, with experience using Tekla Tedds and Masterseries
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and within a small team
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Right to work in the UK
