About the Role

Francesca's Recruitment Ltd are recruiting a dedicated and reliable Quality Inspector to join a leading fresh and chilled food manufacturer based in Chesterfield. Working as part of the night shift team, you will play a key role in ensuring all products meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance before leaving the site. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in food production, quality assurance, or chilled/fresh environments who is looking for stability, progression, and a supportive team culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out quality checks on fresh and chilled food products throughout production.
  • Ensure all products meet company specifications, customer requirements, and food safety standards.
  • Monitor CCPs, temperature controls, labelling, and traceability.
  • Complete accurate documentation and quality records.
  • Report non‑conformances and support corrective actions.
  • Work closely with production teams to maintain high hygiene and safety standards.
  • Support audits and ensure compliance with BRC and internal procedures.

About You

  • Experience in food manufacturing, quality control, or a chilled/fresh environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach.
  • Confident working independently during night shifts.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work with production teams.
  • Knowledge of food safety, HACCP, or BRC standards (advantageous but not essential).
