This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic business where you will support the sales function, manage customer accounts, and play a key role in driving growth and customer satisfaction.
The Role
- Interact with existing customers to increase sales of products and services.
- Process, create, and up-sell orders, ensuring accuracy and customer satisfaction.
- Use proactive selling techniques to expand accounts and generate new opportunities.
- Collaborate with external sales colleagues to achieve team goals.
Responsibilities
- Handle orders via email and telephone, verifying details and ensuring smooth fulfilment.
- Increase orders by suggesting related items, explaining product features, and reviewing customer buying history.
- Qualify and develop opportunities passed from marketing, external sales, and national accounts.
- Prepare and follow up on quotations to secure orders or understand reasons for lost business.
- Review open customer orders, taking action to meet promised delivery dates.
- Maintain backorder reports and keep customers informed of updates.
- Report industry trends, competitive pricing, and customer feedback to management.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in processes.
Qualifications & Skills
- 2 years’ experience in sales administration or internal sales.
