This HR Manager opportunity is ideal for an experienced HR professional who is looking to lead the people function within a busy and expanding organisation. As the HR Manager, you will take responsibility for delivering both strategic and operational HR support while working closely with senior leadership to drive business performance and employee engagement. The successful HR Manager will oversee all aspects of the HR function, ensuring compliance with UK employment legislation, developing HR initiatives and creating a positive workplace culture. HR Manager Responsibilities:
- Leading and managing the HR function across the business.
- Managing the full recruitment, selection and onboarding process.
- Providing expert HR advice and guidance on employee relations matters, including disciplinaries, grievances, capability and absence management.
- Developing, reviewing and implementing HR policies and procedures.
- Ensuring full compliance with UK employment legislation and HR best practice.
- Managing performance management processes and supporting managers with employee development.
- Designing and coordinating learning, training and development programmes.
- Overseeing payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Producing HR reports and analysing workforce data to support strategic business decisions.
- Supporting employee engagement, wellbeing and retention initiatives.
- Working closely with senior leadership to achieve organisational objectives.
- Promoting a positive culture focused on continuous improvement and employee development.
HR Manager Requirements:
- Previous experience working as an HR Manager, Senior HR Advisor or in a similar senior HR position.
- CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent).
- Excellent knowledge of UK employment law.
- Proven experience managing complex employee relations cases.
- Payroll experience (Sage Payroll experience would be advantageous).
- Previous experience within manufacturing, logistics or an SME environment would be beneficial.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities.
- A proactive, hands-on approach with the confidence to work independently.
- High levels of professionalism, integrity and confidentiality.
