As a Cook, you will be responsible for:

  • Planning varied, nutritious menus with residents, taking account of individual preferences and dietary requirements.
  • Preparing, cooking, and serving meals to a high standard, ensuring they are delivered on time.
  • Maintaining food safety, hygiene, infection control, and COSHH standards at all times.
  • Managing stock levels, rotating food supplies, restocking storage areas, and providing regular shopping lists.
  • Working closely with healthcare professionals to ensure food consistency meets individual dysphagia and dietary guidelines.
  • Keeping accurate records and carrying out daily kitchen safety, cleaning, and equipment checks.
  • Maintaining clean, secure food preparation and storage areas, reporting any maintenance issues to management.
