Job Title
General Manager (“GM”) of Falcon X Limited (“Company”) is principally responsible for the general management, day‑to‑day operations, and administrative functions of the Company.
Responsibilities
- Managing financial budgets and developing strategic plans while communicating business goals of the Company.
- Managing sales for institutional portfolios and clients.
- Evaluating and reporting on the overall financial performance of the Company.
- Preparing written reports for the Board of Directors and Senior Management on company matters.
- Ensuring that internal policies and procedures are kept up to date in line with the applicable legal and regulatory framework.
- Assisting senior managers to achieve their goals.
- Improving internal processes for better productivity.
- Overseeing the professional development and training of employees.
- Overseeing the delegation of outsourced services to group entities and third‑party entities, including ongoing assessments.
- Developing new solutions to meet client needs with appropriate personnel.
- Liaising with the Malta Financial Services Authority and other competent and governmental authorities in Malta.
- Remaining up to date with regulatory developments at both a European and local level.
- Reporting to the Malta Board of Directors on KPIs from a financial performance perspective, capital requirements matters, and organisational matters.
- Serving as a member of the Malta Markets & Credit Risk Committee and presenting KPIs on financial performance and capital requirements matters.
- Overseeing the outsourcing agreement between Falcon X Limited and Warp Drive, testing service level agreements, and maintaining updated registers to comply with MFSA rules (now transitioning to DORA rules).
- Acting as an authorised signatory on each Falcon X Ltd contract to ensure regulatory alignment and correct record keeping.
- Coordinating the annual update of the Wind‑down Plan, including financial projections, stress testing and trigger events.
- Monitoring trigger events and reporting them to the Board.
- Initiating coordination of the wind‑down plan if a trigger event is breached.
- Chairing the Malta EDD committee and approving onboarded clients classified as low or medium.
- Coordinating with the Internal Audit team (outsourced to Pw C Malta) for audit assignments, ensuring meetings and follow‑ups, and closing audit findings.
- Coordinating with IT auditors (BDO) and the internal Security team for the annual IT audit.
- Coordinating quarterly MFSA VFASP returns, ensuring stakeholder timelines, data collection, board approvals, and handling MFSA feedback.
- Coordinating tax matters and government rebates.
- Coordinating the filing of returns to the Malta Business Registry.
- Discussing with MFSA any capital contributions and executing related tasks.
- Serving as a committee member at the Malta Chamber of Commerce on crypto matters.
- Coordinating the Malta Board of Directors, setting agendas, and managing logistics.
- Overseeing bill payments for office lease, insurance, consultants, lawyers, and related expenses.
