This partnership brings together Framework, Turning Point, and Double Impact.

Do you have experience in substance use, criminal justice, or health and social care? Are you passionate about supporting people with complex needs to turn their lives around? If so, NELRP wants to hear from you.

As a Co-occurring Mental Health and Substance Use Recovery Worker, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality, person-centred substance use treatment to individuals also struggling with their mental health, helping them achieve meaningful recovery and stability.

About the role

As a Recovery Worker, you'll be part of a friendly, multidisciplinary team, working with service users who present multiple and complex needs. You will:

  • Manage a defined caseload, often involving individuals with mental health issues, homelessness, criminality, long-term health conditions, domestic abuse, exploitation, or self-harm.
  • Complete assessments of need and risk, developing robust recovery and risk-management plans tailored to the person's goals.
  • Deliver evidence-based interventions, both 1:1 and group.
  • Represent the service at external meetings to improve pathways and partnership.

What we're looking for

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Experience supporting people affected by substance use or experience in a closely related field within health, social care, or criminal justice settings.
  • A relevant qualification (e.g., social work, nursing) or equivalent professional experience.
  • Excellent written communication and report-writing skills.
  • Confidence in managing complex cases and presenting in multidisciplinary settings.
  • A full driving licence and access to a car are essential, as is the ability to obtain Police clearance.

Why join us?

At NELRP, we're committed to helping you grow. You'll benefit from:

  • A structured learning journey and clear career pathways.
  • Opportunities to progress into leadership or specialist roles.
  • Supportive colleagues and a collaborative working environment.
  • Mileage expenses for travel between sites.
