About the Role: As a Criminal Justice Recovery Worker, you'll play a vital part in supporting individuals who have been arrested for drug or alcohol-related offences. Working flexibly across the area, you will:
- Engage people directly in the custody suite, delivering brief interventions and encouraging them into treatment
- Lead on Out of Court Disposals, delivering between one and six structured sessions (including group and online sessions) designed to prevent escalation in substance use and offending
- Work closely with an Advanced Practitioner, fellow Recovery Workers, administrators, Police colleagues, and Liaison & Diversion teams
- Build strong, supportive relationships with clients to help them access the right support at the right time
What We're Looking For: We're seeking someone who is:
- A confident and effective communicator
- Highly organised, efficient, and able to manage a varied caseload
- Engaging, enthusiastic, and passionate about supporting people to change
- Interested in the Criminal Justice System and motivated to work with offenders in a positive, non-judgemental way
- Able to work flexibly, including some evenings and weekends
- A full driving licence and access to a car are essential, as is the ability to obtain Police clearance.
