Edwin House is a 41 bed CQC registered residential care setting that specialises in providing 24-hour person-centred care and support for individuals with current or historic alcohol dependency syndrome and/or substance use. The service comprises two residential accommodations: one where residents are working towards recovery and abstinence, and the other where residents have already achieved abstinence on their recovery pathway but have continuing care and support needs. We provide a non-judgmental trauma-informed approach to delivering care to those with severe multiple disadvantages.
We are looking for 2 new team members to deliver a full catering service providing healthy and varied meals within our budget and timelines. You must be able to provide immediate cover in emergency situations and have a WE CAN attitude. Main Job Duties and Responsibilities:- In conjunction with the Head Chef, plan menus in order to provide a high standard of nutrition and choice, ensuring a nutritional balance at all times.
- Prepare and serve meals in compliance with food hygiene standards and regulations and ensure crockery, cutlery, kitchen utensils, and all kitchen areas are thoroughly cleaned after use.
- Ensure all necessary documentation is completed correctly in a timely manner.
- Complete nutritional assessments for all residents with ongoing reviews.
- Provide support for service users who are learning to cook in order to gain independence.
