Are you looking for a new challenge? Are you an enthusiastic, compassionate and dynamic individual? Do you want a role where you are seen, heard and valued? If so, we need you to help us support homeless adults in our LHRSP Hostel Pathways Centre service in Lincoln.

As a Support Worker you will be the lifeline of our hostel service, where every day will be different, both challenging and rewarding. You will work with Service Users, empowering them to move on to live independently. No experience needed; we provide full training. Above all, we want your attitude, personal qualities, transferrable skills and willingness to be a part of our hard working and determined team.

Duties Responsibilities

  • Provide face to face one to one, informal support, dealing with a wide range of individual needs.
  • Respect the rights and responsibilities of Service Users.
  • Advise Service Users to make informed decisions and choices.
  • To build skills and confidence of Service Users.
  • To work alongside support planners to ensure tasks and objectives identified in support plans are achieved within agreed time scales.
  • To prepare/assist Service Users in dealing with any problems arising from their accommodation including repairs, disputes debts, rent arrears etc.
  • To assist with move on accommodation.
  • To understand and actively promote the Organisations values (Respond/Respect/Empower).
  • Identify your own development needs and actively seek opportunities to expand your knowledge, skill and experience to meet the developing needs of the service.
