FINANCE OFFICER , NOTTINGHAM, PERMANENT, 30-37 HRS, FRWK08, £24,398 – £26,337, FTE Are looking for a great opportunity to start your career in Finance? Do you have excellent Excel skills? Framework is a charity delivering housing, health, employment, support and care services to people with a diverse range of needs across the East Midlands. We are looking for a Finance Officer to be responsible for the organisations Finance function, ensuring suppliers are paid on a timely basis and the financial needs of Framework colleagues are met. This role will ensure the finance system is kept up to date and accurate and produce detailed reports for services, managers, statutory bodies and external funders. We have a great opportunity for someone new to the finance industry or wanting to use their existing skills in a different sector. You dont have to have previous finance experience but a strong competency in Excel is essential. We offer hybrid working with a minimum of two days in the office. Training can also be provided to assist you with your further studies. Duties & Responsibilities Administer the organisations pre-payment cards system. Month end Record all prepayment card transactions on the Finance system and reconcile to the account. Analyse and reconcile key control accounts to assist the finance manager with the preparation of the management accounts. Ensure the finance transactions are balanced and ledger accounts Respond to queries and inform relevant parties of outstanding issues requiring Improve systems and find efficiencies. Produce reports to budget holders. Liaise with stakeholders across all areas of the organisation. Provide training to new starters. Essential Experience: An understanding of double entry accounting and accounting standards and principals followed by the Experience of analysing and interpreting large amounts of data for reporting to a variety of Knowledge and experience in using Microsoft Excellent proven knowledge of Excel. Evidence of communicating effectively with colleagues, managers, suppliers and external funders at various levels. Evidence of strong analytical skills. Strong data entry skills, with attention to accuracy and detail is vital. Evidence of excellent problem-solving Demonstrates a willingness to take responsibility and ownership of their Committed to continuous improvement of the service provided. Experience of working to strict deadlines Desirable Experience: Experience of working in a Purchase Ledger role and knowledge of payments Experience with Finance systems would be an Knowledge of policies and procedures implemented from the financial The ability to produce financial reports tailored to the needs of the recipient.
