DUTY WORKER –UASC, UNACCOMPANIED ASYLUM-SEEKING CHILDREN SERVICE, NOTTINGHAM, PERMANENT, 37HRS, GRADE 2 CORE, £24,000, FTE

Framework is a charity delivering housing, health, employment, support and care services to people with a diverse range of needs across the East Midlands.

The Unaccompanied asylum-seeking childrens service will work directly with Nottinghamshire County Council and The Family Service to accommodate and support asylum seeking children. The service has both core and cluster accommodation including emergency bed spaces for spontaneous arrivals. The aim is to ensure that all support needs are comprehensively met by linking in relevant support services, working alongside the Nottingham Refugee Forum worker.

We are looking for a dedicated and passionate full time Young Persons Duty Worker to be responsible for young adults aged 16 to 25 years old who are referred into our unaccompanied asylum-seeking Services. You will have the commitment to reach out, even to the most challenging young people?

The role is 37 hours per week. working to a rota which includes evenings, weekends, and bank holidays. You will be based over various core services with visits to be made to cluster accommodation in Colwick, Sherwood and Trent Boulevard.

Experience of working with young people is desirable but the ability to build rapport and encourage young people to make informed, good decisions is what is most important.
