Our pre-production services division enables filmmakers and showrunners to make early-stage, creative decisions that can then guide their entire production. We have over a hundred creatives, technologists and producers working across concept art, previsualisation, virtual production, in-camera VFX, techvis and postvis. This unique pool of world-class minds and skills allows us to serve as true creative collaborators, whether the production in question requires initial character design, logistical assistance for a single complex sequence or a ‘beginning to end’ offer that begins with concept art and culminates in our award-winning final VFX. Framestore combines talent and technology to bring life to everything we create, whether in film, episodic, advertising or immersive experiences. Driven by creativity and inspired by the future, we set out every day to reframe the possible.

The Asset Builder is a specialist 3D modeller, capable of building 3D characters, objects, props and environments which are optimized for real-time workflow in Maya and Unreal. Key to the role is the ability to work at high-speed and in an efficient manner, creating assets which are appropriate for the pre-production process as opposed to final VFX. The Asset Builder works under the supervision of the Asset Lead or the Visualization Supervisor and must be able to take artistic direction in order to deliver on brief and on time. They should have a strong sense of design, composition and art direction and possess initiative. Experience of low-polygon modelling is essential and a working knowledge of real-time OpenGL techniques for lighting and FX is a plus.
