The Role
As a VFX Production Coordinator in the Film & Episodic team at Framestore, you\’ll be engaging daily with VFX Artists, Leads & Supervisors to ensure the smooth running of the production workflows for high-end visual effects shows. You will play a key role in making sure that the artists\’ schedules are on target; and you\’ll be there to support the wider production team.
Additionally, you\’ll be responsible for:
- Liaising with Line Producer, Leads and Supervisors to track and manage the workflow through the departments meeting internal and external deadlines.
- Organising dailies, rounds and meetings, taking clear and comprehensive notes and ensuring the production database is up to date.
- Providing clear communication between crew including Supervisors, Leads and other members of the production team.
- Anticipating and communicating issues to Line Producer and Supervisor to resolve problems quickly.
- Maintaining an accurate summary of progress from the previous day\’s work by artists.
- Helping to maintain a positive, upbeat and professional production office, being pro-active and solution-oriented.
- Other ad hoc duties as may reasonably be expected.
Job Requirements:
- Excellent organisation and time/project management skills.
- Able to work within a team towards a common goal.
- Basic understanding of live-action and CG based visual effects workflows.
- Experience and knowledge of using Shotgun software.
Desirable Skills:
- Previous experience at Junior Production Coordinator or Production Assistant level.
- Existing knowledge of Framestore production databases (e.g. Shotgun).
- Good knowledge of MS Office packages (including Word, Excel and Project).
- Lateral thinking skills.
