The Role
As a Visual Effects Line Producer in the Film & Episodic team, you'll be the central person for the project management of a whole show or sequence of a show. You'll liaise with all aspects of the production and post-production team including the Director, Editors, Supervisors, Producers and of course the Visual Effects Artists. Your experience and knowledge will be spread cross sites, between our London and Canadian offices to help strategise and implement tasks and targets crucial to the delivery of a project on time and in budget.
You'll also be responsible for:
- Implementing and running the show schedule, by tracking and managing the workflow through the departments to meet internal and external deadlines by working closely with the Producer, Leads and Supervisors.
- Overseeing the team of Coordinators to ensure the good organisation of dailies, rounds and meetings and the taking of notes to follow up on information, as well as managing edits alongside the Editorial department.
- Maintain an accurate summary of the project's progress based on the previous day's artists work.
- Take responsibility for knowing the details of the schedule and advising the Coordinators accordingly.
- Oversee the execution of client deliveries for all temps and finals.
- Be pro-active and solution-orientated as well as maintaining a positive and upbeat production environment.
Job Requirements:
- Previous experience with scheduling in Shotgun at Senior VFX Coordinator or Line Producer level.
- Highly organised with first-class time/project management skills with the ability to prioritise conflicting tasks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to remain calm and confident in a fast-paced environment.
- The ability to work within a team towards a common goal.
- An in-depth understanding of live-action and CG based VFX workflows.
- An in-depth understanding of common file formats and resolutions.
- A good knowledge of MS Office packages, basic Linux skills & basic avid or editorial skills.
- Lateral thinking skills.
