The predicted salary is between 28800 - 43200 £ per year.

Please note this role is hybrid so requires days in the London studio, evening late shifts and potential weekend shifts, we also cannot provide VISAs or relocation for this position.

The Role

Framestore is looking for a Data Services Technician to join the core of our Advertising, Episodic and Immersive team in London. The Data Services team is a key part of the studio, managing the flow of digital assets and keeping our creative work running smoothly.

This is an entry-level position so if you have a keen interest in VFX or some experience in post production, this is a brilliant opportunity to develop your skills and grow your career in a supportive, hands-on environment.

What you’ll do:

You’ll handle data transfers, file conversions and quality control, making sure our assets are delivered on time and to the highest standard. You’ll also support the wider team by prepping artwork and managing project archives.

You’ll also be:

  • Transferring and transcoding media using industry tools

  • Creating and checking deliverables to meet client and broadcast specs

  • Converting video and artwork files using Adobe Creative Cloud

  • Archiving and restoring project data as needed

What we’re looking for:

  • Basic understanding of Adobe Creative Cloud Products (Media Encoder, Photoshop, Illustrator)

  • Familiarity with file transfer tools such as FTP, Aspera or Dropbox

  • Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset

  • Comfortable using computers and keen to learn new technical workflows

  • A methodical, practical approach to solving problems

Nice to have (but not essential):

  • Knowledge of post production or VFX processes

  • Awareness of file formats, colour spaces, codecs, and media standards

  • Experience using Mac, Windows or Linux systems

  • Understanding of RAW camera files and transcoding tools

  • Basic scripting knowledge (Python or shell)

  • Ability to read and interpret professional video/audio scopes
