The multi-Oscar-winning creative Film & Episodic Studio, at Framestore has worked with some of the greatest storytellers in film today. Collaborating with directors and producers across the complete filmmaking process to help design, plan and create beautiful images, we focus on finding innovative creative solutions to support their vision and set new standards for visual effects in cinema. The Role

As a Compositor at Framestore London, you're not just blending images; you're part of a creative conversation. Work closely with Compositing Leads, Compositing Supervisors, as well as VFX Supervisors to figure out the best way to bring assigned shots to life. Your responsibilities include integrating 2D, 3D, and live-action elements to achieve high-end film visual effects standards. Additionally, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Keeping the project on track by meeting schedules and project deadlines.
  • Maintaining open lines of communication with Production.
  • Balancing the creative and technical elements of each shot, using your expertise in Nuke.

Job Requirements

  • Excellent working knowledge of and production experience with Nuke.
  • Work with multiple render-passes.
  • Excellent organisation, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A pro-active and collaborative work ethic.
  • A strong eye for detail, composition, colour and lighting.
  • The ability to multitask, prioritise and problem-solve.
  • An understanding of colour space principles.

Desirable Experience

  • Knowledge of practical lighting for photography.
  • Knowledge of the overall VFX pipeline.
  • Experience in dealing and communicating with clients.
  • Programming and coding experience and knowledge.
